Week of 9/20/2016

Hi! This week for art class we had to do an assignment inspired by Greek and Roman Clay art. We could either choose to make a pot or a clay relief. I chose a pot. I am not one who loves pottery and clay of any sort, so this wasn't my favorite assignment, but I still had some fun with it. Here is my halfway done pot.
It took me ages to get it to look like this. I am kind of a perfectionist and I had to try my best to get all the indents and stuff out. I had a hard time painting it as well since it isn't a flat surface. Here is my completed pot.

I wanted to paint it a reddish color first because I wanted it to look like the red clay that most pottery is made out of. Anyways, thanks for reading my blog!

Week of 9/15/16

Hi! This week in art class we just had a catch up week. I was all caught up so I had nothing to do. But this week as I was going through old things I had drawn, I came across this picture. I looked at one online and tried to make it my own.

It doesn't have much shading and its not very impressive. But this is an art blog. So...this is a piece of my art!
Also this week was Peach Days! It is the best. There are booths, rides, a parade. Everyone has so much fun. These people we know had a tattoo booth. So we went there and got henna tattoos! I think its so much fun. They last like 10-12 days. Here's a picture of the one I got!

That's all! Thanks so much for reading my blog!

Week of 9/7/2016

Hi! So this week in art class we learned about art history, and then had to create an art piece that they did back then. I chose to do an art piece in Ancient Egypt. It's the Pharaoh Tutankhamun's burial mask. The first picture is the picture at its halfway mark, and the second picture is the completed one.

I had a lot of fun doing these. I love painting and mixing colors, which we got to do a lot of in this assignment. Thanks for reading my blog!!
